THE 2012 CRICKET SEASON IS READY TO START IN APRIL
You have reached the website of WLCCA who play their home matches at the Boghall cricket ground, Linlithgow.
West Lothian County Cricket Association 1st XI will play in the new Cricket Scotland League (CSL) Eastern First Division a League of 8 teams to be played on a home and away basis. Teams competing in this new league will be: EDINBURGH ACADEMICALS, FALKLAND, FAULDHOUSE, FREUCHIE, PENICUIK, RH CORSTORPHINE, SMRH and WEST LOTHIAN.
League matches will start on Saturday 12th May with County 1st XI starting with an away match against SMRH 1st XI at Inverleith. Matches will continue every Saturday until 1st September, with the exception of Saturdays 30th June and 7th and 14th July which will be the final three matches of the group stage of the Scottish Cup.
The 2012 Scottish Cup 1st Round group matches start on Saturday 21st April when County 1st XI will start off with a home match against Drumpellier 1st XI. On the following two Saturdays they will be away to Kelburne 1st XI at Whitehaugh Oval then away to Aberdeenshire 1st XI at Mannofield. Group matches continue on dates mentioned above.
County 2nd XI start their 2012 Division 3 campaign with a home fixture against DRUMMOND/TRINITY 1st XI at Boghall on Saturday 28th April. Matches continue every Saturday until 25th August. Other teams in Division 3 are BROOMHALL 1st XI, KIRKBRAE, GALA 1st XI, GRANGE 3rd XI, RH CORSTORPHINE 2nd XI, CARLTON 3rd XI,MURRAYFIELD/DAFS 2nd XI and LIVINGSTON 1st XI.
County 3rd XI start their 2012 Division 6 campaign with an away fixture against DUNFERMLINE WANDERERS at Townhill Country Park on Saturday 28th April. Matches continue every Saturday until 25th August. Other teams in Division 6 are SELKIRK, FALKLAND 3rd XI, BOROUGHMUIR 2nd XI, CLACKMANNAN COUNTY 2nd XI, TEUCHTERS, DUNBAR, MARCHMONT 2nd XI and OLD CONTEMPTIBLES.
The 2012 Lothian Junior Fixtures for age groups UNDER 11, UNDER 13 & UNDER 15 have been posted on the club website and can be viewed under Fixtures depending on what age group you want to view.
Kruger van Wyk will be returning as Professional for the sixth season, also returning will be Jared Cookson for his third season as Overseas Amateur.
